EASY and AMAZING Wall Texture Design

Have you been staring at your walls and thinking they need something a little special to spice them up? I have JUST the thing for you! I wanted to make my walls a masterpiece, and you just KNOW paint and wallpaper weren’t going to be enough for me. I wanted something BIG and EXTRA!

If that’s what you’re looking for, too, you’re in the right place. I’ve got the easiest and quickest way to add some magic to your walls! Have you ever thought about making your walls 3D? No? Well, you have now and trust me, it’s gonna take over your life because it looks SO good! I couldn’t wait to get started on this makeover, and I was so impressed with how quick and easy it was in the end. This will transform your bedroom, living room, kitchen - basically any room that has walls! Want to know how I did it? Let’s goooo!

What will you need?

  • Plywood
  • A jigsaw
  • SO MUCH glue!
  • Silicon
  • Little paint brush
  • Roller
  • Paint

How to reimagine your walls into textured perfection:

1. First, get some plywood - this could be brand new or some old leftovers if you have any. It doesn’t matter what state it is in or what shape or size - you’re gonna cut it all up anyway!

2. So that’s the second step: get cutting! Use your jigsaw to cut fun patterns in the wood. I went for lots of curves, but you can make whatever shape you like!

3. Next up, you’re gonna need a loooot of glue! Smear it all over those newly cut plywood shapes - after all, you do not want them to fall down!

4. This is the fun bit - stick the wood to the wall! I drew out a design first so I knew where everything would go. Then just place the wood on the walls carefully. You’ll start to see how amazing it looks already!

5. Now get the silicon and put it around every single edge of the shapes. Leave it for a whole day to dry.

6. Grab your paint because the following day is when you get some colour on your walls! Start with a little brush and cover every edge and corner before getting the roller and going over the whole wall. You might need two or even three coats depending on the thickness of your paint and the colour of the walls and wood.

And you’re DONE! I love this method because it’s so quick and easy. You can totally transform your room in no time at all and for no money at all! I want to see all your versions, so let me know how you make your walls a textured heaven! This is why I love DIY so much - you can achieve the most amazing things when you have the confidence to go for it yourself! Good luck, guys!
